Guerin has been talking the talk about wanting to make the playoffs publicly, but it’s obviously just for morale at this point. He said the team’s play will dictate if he starts making changes. They’re 3 points out of a playoff spot with games in hand, and have won 7/11. What does he do? Trades Zucker for futures and fires BB. I dint disagree with his decisions whatsoever, but it’s starting to be some pretty obvious that he is taking this team through a rebuild right now while he still has the opportunity to. 3 years from now, if the team isn’t cutting it he won’t have the leverage to tear it down. If he was serious about this season, he would acquired literally any NHL caliber goalie. When the wild get above .900 goaltending they’re 24-4-4.
