Boeser breaking out this season is an absolute lethal addition to the Canucks core.

Last season he looked like a good top 6 player that can put up 60 points consistently. This year he looks like a bona-fide first line winger that can score 40 goals.

sounds great. That’s what should happen.

too bad Jake wasn’t wired the same way.

Honestly think it was his back bothering him.

Remember how he came back after the lock out, took like 5 periods and he suddenly looked sluggish and soft again.

I was worried that his back was permanently damaged but seems like he has got his wrister back and his skating, while never fast, looks to be back to his earlier NHL level.


I am not sure if people realize how serious the injury was. Hockey is an extremely core intensive sport and the L4 transverse process (that he fractured) is one of the main attachment points for Quadratus Lumborum and the Iliopsoas muscles.
