Don't know if we want him. Guy is a little too harsh on his own players at times.

I honestly love Keefe as a coach. We just need the players to push a little harder and round out our roster with some additions at the TDL.

I wouldn't mind if the Leafs brought in BB as a special coaching advisor to Keefe. He could fill the same role Paul McLean had with us. He'd be in the press box watching the games and in the stands watching the practices and give input to Keefe when needed. Eyes in the sky coaching position.

I kind of think they have those people already, although I would think that a position like that could appeal to him as he sails into the sunset.

It's kind of weird that Bruce has always apparently had a clause in his contract(s) that allowed him an out to leave whomever his current team was if the Maple Leafs ever came calling.

BB doesn't have a heart he has a Maple Leaf beating in his chest

Gabby would make a good Assistant Coach for Toronto.

He'd take a job preparing coffee for Spezza if they offered it to him though.

The guy just loves the Leafs.

I would imagine he would want to Coach not just hold some honorary title in the organization.
Fine, we need a head coach for the playoffs.

So we need someone to push our players harder? Did you think this through?

We have changed the coach before. The result has stayed the same. Matthews, and Marner have to find their elite selves if they want to push past another first round exit and toward a cup.

Did you think this through?

I love Bruce.

I hope he doesn't suffer this abuse much longer. He needs to do his best and stay the course IMHO.

The Vancouver Dysfunctional Canucks Organization is not his cross to bear.

I’d love for the Leafs to hire Bruce as some kind of advisor to finish off the year. I can’t believe what the Vancouver organization is putting him through. Extremely unprofessional and embarrassing.

Wouldn’t he still be under contract to Vancouver?

I'd like to bring him on in a Paul MacLean associate role capacity if he were willing to come on board as a non Head Coach. Bruce is a quality hockey mind, loves the Leafs and we need to find a way to harness that.

Weirdly enough Bruce Boudreau and Jim Rutherford were teammates on the Leafs in 1980-81.

Their were rumors the Leafs did want him back as an assistant coach a few years ago. I am assuming at that time he was looking for a coaching gig somewhere. We all know how thats turned out. :(

Wouldn’t he still be under contract to Vancouver?
Yes but I am sure cheap ass Aqualini would love to save whatever is left on his contract lmao

I'd love to bring him into the front office regardless of the capacity. Even if it's just something similar to Spezza as a Special Advisor to the GM. Worth noting he's open about working with analytics - seems like it would be a natural fit with the current Leafs group

The guy has always loved the Leafs/the city.

I can't believe that Rutherford would treat someone this way . Especially someone of Bruce's career. Keep your chin up.

I cannot believe the shoddy treatment here by the Canucks.

Boudreau is all class and deserves way better treatment than this crap.

Just goes to show what trash organization the Canucks are now, and it's going to hurt them later when it comes to attracting UFA's. Their rep in the league absolutely stinks right now, and it's a rep that has been well deserved.

Would love to bring Bruce home, but I can't see where he would fit. I can't see him accepting an Assistant Coach job.

Maybe an advisor role like Paul MacLean had, or Cliff Fletcher? Bruce bleeds Blue & White and deserves the love he'd get here.

I think Leafs should bring him in as an assistant coach/PP specialist. Boudreau's teams were always good offensively.

Leafs need to get their offense going in the playoffs and Boudreau would help. Leafs have had a complete shitshow powerplay in the playoffs. it will only help.

Leafs special teams needs new thinking/approach in the playoffs.
