    I don't believe that Gionta is retired. Next thing people will be saying that Nixon is dead.

    A pretty good career. He thanked LL for believing in him as a 5’7” hockey player. He played 16 years in the league and won a Stanley Cup.
    He was the Devils MVP in 2005-6 with 48 goals and 89 points.

    Good for him that he got a job within the Sabres organization
