To see if he could be good back up for Hart. Better to trade for him and realize he wouldn't be that than pay him 2x3M next week and realize that before Christmas.

While his play has been OK his injury history is worrisome. I preferred Talbot

It’s a fair deal cap wise and if he stays healthy, he should be able to give them the 25 or so good starts they’ll need.

Betting on him staying healthy is a risk though, not a Neuvirth level risk, but still a gamble.

It’s a deal I can see making sense.

It’s just kind of the trend. I feel there are opportunities for this club to get the “better” player, somebody that might low key excite this fan base - and we settle for more “meh”.

No, I don’t know who that could be but let’s just say Elliot better stay healthy. This puts a lot of pressure on Hart imo.
