Upsets are fun, but I have to vote for Shanahan.

At his peak, I do think Naslund was a superior player to Shanahan, but outside of those three years, I don't think he matches up well enough to make me want to vote for him here. Shanahan has a major advantage in terms of meaningful longevity and he also had a notable physical element to his game that Naslund lacked. Additionally, he did more in the playoffs.

Naslund has the advantage in terms of peak and probably raw offensive talent as well, but people (some people anyway) do value things like consistency and longevity.

Others take "better" to basically mean more skilled and better at his best than the other guy at his peak. Not all evaluate careers/players the same way, which can make for interesting poll results and discussions.
