really wanted the Habs to loan Kotkaniemi would have been great to see him light it up. Too bad that Ikonen was injured as he would have been there as a returning player and that would have given the Habs 9.

Nordgren not being injured for Finland and Canada opting for Beaudin instead of one of their D would have also bumps Chicago to 9

I'm really glad they didn't seeing as the habs are in the playoff picture

This is crazy, our 2017/ 2018 draft class is seriously something to watch

In part because of the QUANTITY of picks GMGM acquired. 2017 3 first round picks (and if VGK still had Suzuki, they'd have 8 representatives playing in the tournament).

It's looking like GMGM et al did a very good job in their selections (BPA) and development.

Oilers Ostap Safin would be a lock for the Czech team but he's injured.

It’s been happening a lot in the last few years but I’d think that’s going to start slowing down soon.

Next year should be pretty good again:

USA: Farabee, O'Brien
SWE: Ginning, Westfalt
RUS: Zamula

Are all locks if healthy/very likely... without considering anyone who they might draft in summer.

It's so much more fun watching this tournament when your teams prospects are in it, especially high end. I would of loved to see Tkachuk and Formenton this year, but one's too good to be sent down and the other's injured. 2015 was amazing watching Thomas Chabot vs Colin White in the gold medal.

O'Brien isn't eligible for next year. I don't think Westfalt is "very likely", but the Flyers will have a lot of prospects at next year's tournament. They always draft well.
