I'm incredibly happy we aren't the team who signed Brandon Tanev to a six (6!!!!) year deal at $3.5 mil per.

I'm usually pretty happy when we stay out of the UFA fray since UFAs generally require a big overpay, but I've never been happier than this year. Holy cow I hate almost every contract that has been given out so far. The only contract I truly like is (unfortunately) Duchene to Nashville. $8 mil per for 7 years is a fantastic contract for Nashville when you compare it to every other UFA contract signed today.
