Garbage person on top of a garbage player.

Send him home, tell him to stay there, and get the lawyers working on a breach of contract. Done. Absolutely done with this waste of skin and cap space.

The Oilers need to dump this toxic loser now. If coaches can be fired for it so should players.

Players have a player's association and a collective bargaining agreement in place that quite clearly lays out the limits on discipline and termination, and the PA would challenge any termination. It's what they do.

Coaches can be fired because they don't have any such labor entity and ironclad agreement in place.

Coaches should get that kind of agreement in place, problem is is that nhl teams would use replacement coaches and they might be better then the recycling bin of coaches.

Manning should be made an example of by the PA.

Considering he’s fully acknowledging it happened I can’t imagine it really matters specifically what was said
Yep, pretty much. Rarely do you ever hear what was truly said. We can assume the nature of it and who it was directed at, that’s for sure.
