I'm really curious of his value nowadays. Seems like he still could/should be better, but still a stud. Is there deal to be made for Carlo to Leafs. If not, what kind of price would you think he's worth.

I think that his first season really blew people away. And I gotta say, that propaganda really hit me. For the longest time, I thought Carlo was the real deal. But you know, his upside is still a solid #3D. Why would you even consider trading him? He's a valuable piece on the blueline.

He has really turned the corner this year. He is big, his skating is ++, and he is beginning to assert himself a great deal more. His upside right now is that of an elite shutdown D.

Not much offense at this time in terms of the offensive zone but his transition game is very solid.

The cost would be more than fans and other teams would be willing to pay.

Not helping the leafs finish their blue line at the cost of our blue line.

This might be Chara's last year and Krug is in the final two years of his contract. McAvoy and Carlo are basically the future of the Bruins on the blueline.

The Bruins plan to stay competitive as their younger players begin replacing the older guys, which makes trading Carlo even less realistic IMO.

If somehow we wanted to cause great trouble to the future of our D and get back a Toronto forward for that, it would be Marner. Nylander's too busy hot-tubbing it in Dorbirn, Austria.

I think that almost every team in the league would hear out a deal for someone like Carlo. He’s not someone that’ll cost you the moon, yet he’s a solid middle pairing RHD. Teams can use that. That narrative raises the value a little more beyond the players “metric/stat” value from what everyone on here argues about. In a league building upon offensive minded Dmen and play in general, meaning 2-way is expected, he needs to find more offense in his game.

I saw Nylander as a piece in earlier trades on this thread, I don’t thibk Carlo gets that return without an add from BOS. When accounting for needs, TOR makes out like bandits since Nylander is holding out. That significantly decreases value as a person and a player. The add isn’t anything significant... just to even it out since Nylander is a top line forward.

There isn't a trade you'd want to make to get Carlo. He'll be our #3d on the second pairing for many years hopefully.

Yeah - we'd need to replace him organizationally since all of the other D men in our system are LHD.

There isnt a realistic trade to be made. Sweeney would have to be wowed to consider it.

Carlo is having a great season, no interest in moving him. Had a game around the 30 minute mark last week and looked great the whole time doing it.

Basically the value would be: something another team isn't willing to give up.

Carlo has improved immensely from last season and has probably been the best and most consistent defense man this season. Price to acquire him? A lot.

Unless it would be a deal that the Bruins would be stupid NOT to take, I don't see them actively looking to move Carlo.

That said, anyone is moveable, but I doubt it would be for fair value.

Bruins need defense coming back if they are moving Carlo.

How would the Bruins fans feel about a Tryamkin (if willing to come back from KHL) and a plus for Carlo? Tryamkin has all the skills to be the next Chara ( yes I know but he did show he has ability when was here though ) just doesn't seem to want to play for Canucks again??

I'd imagine the cost to acquire a player that doesn't want to play on your team might be lower than Carlo. Or at most Tryamkin would be a throw in.

Hence the plus in my original post. What the plus is I don't know?

Tyamkin is the plus, not the main piece.

Yea, but he'd be the plus. My point being that he wouldn't be the main part of the deal making the plus the actual basis of the deal. Strange starting point, that's all.
