He is having a monster season so far. He and Grizz are operating at the next level so far. I still feel like Brandon may NEVER score a goal again, though, as someone said in an earlier thread
It’s crazy how many good up and coming defensemen they have right now. People get mad that Zboril isn’t on the team already but the level of competition is so high it’s impossible to get a break without injuries right now.

They need to sign this kid up ASAP.

Every game hes playing is costing them money right now.

What a pleasant surprise Carlo has been. He always had the goods to play at an elite level but now we are seeing the promise become reality. Charlie McAvoy has been called by many the heir apparent to Chara but I'm moving some betting money over to Carlo. McAvoy looks to be trending sideways at best with some step backs here and there. Not what you would expect if he was going to be an elite player. If Carlo starts putting the puck between the pipes to the tune of 10-15 goals a year I'd say he will anchor the top D pairing line should Chara go does now and when he eventually retires. Heck, McAvoy may even end up traded if he and his agent insist on the money their asking for in an extension of his contract.

It’s interesting watching Carlo because he’s certainly thinking offense more this year then ever and probably knows 25 points gets you paid a lot more then 6 points.

I would love to see him get up to that 5-20=25 points level and believe he can get there

Carlo has been a great goalie from game one . He's just maturing and gaining strength as he ages . He was a boy doing man work . He's just now 21 . I think people forget just how young he was when he started playing top 4 minutes in NHL

I know we all joke about Carlo's inability to produce offensively, but I give the kid credit, he's shot more to start this season. He's currently on pace for around 106 SOG, which is about a 40% increase for last season. Its not like the kid has a bad shot either, just seems snake bitten. IMO he's (like Donato/Bjork) will finally just pop and it'll come together for them.

Kid has been getting some respect this season but still not enough in my opinion. What a monster player. Last night was an amazing game by him.

He looks to have it all figured out now.

Saw glimpses of this version of Carlo often last year but how he's putting it together every night is impressive. Of course, some of it is the Chara-effect. Every single player he's ever played with has looked better beside him. He made Zach Trottman look like a rising prospect for awhile.

He is starting to fire a few more pucks from the point this year, so hopefully one will go off a shin pad and in for him.

I don't want him shooting for goals, I want him shooting low and at the net to get deflections. Hopefully he racks up a few off the shin pads for his goals haha.

It seems to have all started when he took the coaching and management's direction to play more assertive physically.

i'm gonna bet they agree to a bridge deal, something like 2 years/$5M total. he'll have like 15-20 points and
the agent will probably bet that his TOI will be strong and his points will go up. cody ceci signed a 2-year/$5.6M
deal after his ELC - similar type guy - right shot defensive defender who puts up minimal points. ceci got $4.3M
out of the bridge deal as well.

He reminds more and more of Brad McCrimmon when he was a youngster.
Brad was a great Bruin. I was disappointed when he was traded to the Flyers. (Peeters?) I remember McCrimmon being more "fireplug" like than Carlo. I think Brad was less than 6 feet tall.
