absolute stud on D. If he develops a bit of an offensive game he can absolutely move into the upper echelon of NHL D moving forward.

He's been a top 4 D since day 1. Never did understand some of the negative posts. He's just 23 and may not peak for another couple of years. He's an All Star And even thinking about him being traded makes me cringe. Defensive players of his caliber are harder to find than forwards.
Was way too conservative and passive but that was certainly a product of youth and development. He's skating and imposing his will like never before.

This guy's gone from an impressive rookie, to a steady dman, to a spectacular one. He's hot as well, and has a soothing voice to put me to sleep. SO GOOD

didn't see this coming, but guy has been a beast. the physical play is ramped up. the strong defensive play is
even more consistent. and jumping into the play more and more. he doesn't have the hands or skill to put
up a ton of points, but doesn't matter. keeper.

I think he is their best D man.He makes me feel comfortable more then the others I know that.McAvoy will pass him as their best all around though down the line is my bet.

Getting way ahead of ourselves here IMO.

He’s improved and is improving but not ready to gush over him just yet. He’ll need to keep improving before I label him a “stud”.

Concerned that DS will overpay our two young RFAs and get burned. Need to see consistent improvement from Carlo and health from McAvoy.

I know you are always a bit pessimistic (no offense intended) but really? Carlo has absolutely been a stud pretty much every night for basically the entire season. The last month + when he's been using his speed to get up into the play and create odd man chances while still being lock down defensively has been unbelievably impressive. His combination of size/length/skating ability is pretty unparalleled. Not too many big defenders like him that can skate the way he does. I do believe the offense will come as well. If you ask me, he's there best defender right now, and I'd pay the man and lock him up long term without any hesitation.

well he has the exact same stat line 1G 2A so I think we can expect that he will get William Nylander money :D

I think he's gonna get paid, and I for one am glad that he's improved considerably

I honestly think he's gonna be the eventual Seidenberg replacement; and I do not view that in any bad light. I think it's a compliment.

Actually, he's only 22.

His offensive game has a long way to go before he's considered an all-star.

Last 115 games he has one goal, nine points. And hasn't played a playoff game yet.

If I'm in that coaching staff, I would keep telling Carlo to continue activating himself on offensive breaks, regardless of it tallying in points acclimated by him. His skating and decision making should be used as a weapon on both ends, even if he's not getting rewarded for it in points.

It's probably a good thing his offensive skills don't look good right now in regard to signing him to a new long-term deal. If he signs for a reasonable deal then develops some solid offensive skills then he might well become one of the biggest bargains in the NHL. I was high on him going into the draft due mainly to his defensive potential, but I also thought he had the tools to be pretty good offensively. I'm not close to writing him off as an offensive black hole.

Dream on.

Defensively quite possible. But right now Carlo has McQuaid-like offensive skills. He makes good decisions when the Bruins are in possession but once he gets the puck, his offensive skill set seems really limited.

If the guy below could evolve from a bottom 6D to an all star player Carlo given time can do it as well.

His rookie year I thought he showed some offensive skills and I think he can develop into a 25-35 point guy in his prime. Even this year he’s jumped into the play more and made some nice plays.
