If Skjei is able to handle the rightside and top 4 duties, the need for a RHD goes down precipitously. They still to get Girardi back to the bottom pairing, but there becomes much less urgency. Plus, it now creates room for two of Gilmour, Graves or Day to have an eventual landing spot.

After some more analysis, I've come to the conclusion that Brady has a very sturdy neck. Like Marty St.Louis's calves except it's his neck. Good head on a swivel mobility.

Surprised this thread has such little discussion... Only 3 posts over the past month?

Really like his game...

I like Skjei - he is very promising with great passes recently and very good skating skills.

Really trending in the right direction. Definitely hope that his GF% follows this soon.

I remember a few individuals last season making the argument that Graves was as good of a prospect as Skjei. Absurd. Skjei is the real deal and should anchor this blue line with McDonagh for many years.

Skjei's future with the Rangers is moot since he will be a Golden Knight next year.

He's protected.

How? IIRC a team can only protect 3 D, and players with NMC and NTC HAVE to be be protected. Rangers are going to protect McDonagh, will have to protect Staal and Girardi, and it's b-bye Brady.

Who the heck is this guy?!

I was browsing rookie point leaders and there he is at 11th as a defenceman! 24 points and a +8 to boot.

Please tell me more about this guy
