I did not know that. My bad.

I have no problem with them going out and partying or how certain players cope given the situation. I should leave Tuukka out of it. What kind of rubs me the wrong way is the extent Marchand is partying. Hey, maybe he's go hard at every party he's at. If that's the case and he has that much fun every time, he can invite me next time.

I should have fact checked that the B's hold these events every year. I don't want to make any excuses, but I feel like I fell for clickbait to have me react a certain way given what has happened the past week. I should have known better.
It's their last hurrah as a group before they disperse until training camp. Many of them go home for the summer months, and some of those guys won't return in the fall as they'll be on new teams by then. They probably needed to whoop it up more than we can imagine.

Yup, either lock the place down(phone/video wise) or do it at someone’s house. It’s not a huge deal, they’ve earned the right to let loose after an incredible season and war the last two months. I don’t give a **** what any of these guys do outside of the 82+playoffs...but like you said, but the optics are tough. I don’t recall seeing Tom Brady shirtless on a bar a couple days after 18-1.

I think Pete Blackburn put it best:

That picture = Done + Young + Rich.

They made it to the Stanley Cup Finals. I wasn't sure they would make the playoffs. IMO what is needed is a couple of guys that can hit and play.

The Blues were too big , hit too hard and were a bit dirty. The B's had no answer for it.

I am disappointed they didn't win it all but proud of them for getting as far as they did.

Brad played well all season and behaved well. He will be fine.

Looking forward to next season.

Yep I agree,I know some will say they made it all that way they don’t need to add some more size,I disagree, not saying they need to become the broad street bullies but man a healthy Miller on D and a bigger forward with some scoring touch,it’s a different outcome I totally believe.

toughest loss of their lives they said. Glad they can unwind so quickly. Don't have an issue with it other than it being a bad look the videos are out in the public. Bad optics maybe, but whatever you need to do to get over it..Wonder where the videos of Chara and Bergeron are.
I usually stay out of topics like this. At my age it does nothing for me.

But here is what I wonder?

BM63 probably felt worse then any Bruin. I am curious as to which teammate dared him to do it.

My guess is it was Torey Krug.

You generally have to lock you phones away before you go in. The football Jets and Giants do this. If they see you with one you are asked to delete and escorted out. Not sure if this was a sponsored event.
If it was a team event then they should have had a clampdown on cell phones...if it wasn't perhaps a bit more self awareness was needed given the era of social media...

Yeah glad social media wasn’t around and everyone didn’t have a camera years ago when I might have gotten over served .Oh my ,definitely things I wouldn’t have wanted everyone to see,and that’s just the stuff I can remember.Lol Not really much of a drinker anymore if I was I probably would have gone out and tied one on and made a fool off myself also.

At least we’re not seeing all the illegal drugs being ingested. I can only imagine what it would have been like to see all the white stuff from the 70’s onward. This is downright tame and it’s just a little annoying, that’s all.

Yup only problem here is trusting friends and family with their phones. Let everyone get them back at the end of the night. Players and staff only ones allowed to have them.

Whoever sent these to barstool should be in big trouble.

Marchand appears to want to be a poor man’s Gronk without the multiple rings

Do we have footage of Gronkowski at a private party? Who knows how he gets behind closed doors the whooping it up might just be a shtick.

None of this shoulda seen the light of day. They aren’t in public and should be saying f*** it we played until mid June good season fellas let’s have fun. In public that’s different.

eh most people also aren't on video crying about how it was the worst whatever of their lives and then 2 days later acting the fool.

Again I don't care much but it's a stupid look.
No it's not. Anyone giving this any attention clearly doesn't have anything better to do.

This team is close. The fact that they aren't crying in a bunker and partying together instead shows how big of a bond they have. Not everyone can be a debbie downer like people here.

Sure it is. Nobody said they should be crying. Marchand did cry his eyes out and call it the worse loss of his life and two days later recovered very nicely. Good for him. He’s a 30 year old veteran who just lost a Stanley Cup (again) and he’s partying it up shirtless with goggles on...you say not bad optics, I do. Agree to disagree.

I’m disappointed with Marchand but he always parties like this. I can say , I wouldn’t have done it but whatever. The answer is no , I wouldn’t trade him lol. 100 point season players don’t grow on trees. I know he wasn’t great in SCF . But please remember he has won a cup before.

Marchand, Bergeron, Pasta, McAvoy, Carlo, Debrusk, ( Krug if he signs a make sense contract and Rask .. I’m keeping.

I posted throughout the series that the longer it went, the more it favored the Blues' physical style. A 5-6 game series would have been best for Boston.

Sadly, I don't think they lost because of of St. Louis' physicality. In fact, during Game Six I wondered if the Blues' had worn themselves out throwing all those heavy hits. And like a boxer who throws punch after punch yet can't wear out his opponent, eventually they can't punch anymore.

If you look at everything about the first period of Game 7 except the 2-0 score, that seems to be the case.

Sadly Marchand made a mistake that Pee-wee coaches would bag-skate kids over, and Rask (who I love, hence my avatar) was average in the biggest game of the year.

Yes, the top 6 was quiet, but once it was 2-0, the Blues morphed into the Nashville Predators and it was Game Over.

You do realize you can be suffering and still try to have a good time?

Have you ever heard of Irish funerals?

Just because he's having fun doesn't make the loss sting any less. Assuming you know what's going on inside his mind is asinine.

Imagine what this post-parade Friday night party would have been like had they won the Cup. This is tame.

Marchand is definitely the P.K. Subban of our team - pretty much appears pure extrovert, and doesn't mind being the center of attention. I'll admit, that's not my style, but it's who he is, so...go for it.

A little surprised that this was caught on cam - if Brad's smart, and he's planning to "let loose" at a club, he'd have handlers with him (or use a Bruins generic handler if there's more than one of them going out - I have no idea how this stuff works). And these handlers should find/get private areas within the club. Or at least shuttle them to a private spot when the constant "Hey, it's Brad Marchand!" gets a little old, or when the boys get their tank filled, so to speak. Stuff I've seen has been pretty tame....2011 was a little more spicy. Losing and aging takes it out of you, I guess.

Yes, it wasn't the Blues' hitting in game 7 that cost the Bruins the game and the Cup; it was things like Marchand's horrible line change and Rask not being at his best in the biggest game of the season. I was down, but still hopeful, when the score was 1-0, but that second goal convinced me that it was game over, and I turned to my girlfriend and told her exactly that.
