Yep. I agree with you and the other poster.

I never understood why there's so much doubt surrounding Bracco. He will be an NHLer. The "lazy" narrative is old. Keefe is very pleased with his effort on and off the ice.

I don't think Leafs will trade him until they are more sure of Willy after this playoff run. That is my impression having talked with a number of scouts, other player dads and management. That said if you package him for a top pairing D man who can help out Rielly for a Cup run this year then all bets are off.

I'm a fan of Bracco as well but you have to give to get. Bracco is a really damn good prospect but to say it would be stupid to trade him for an upgrade on the Leafs roster is not quite fair.

Well, sure but I'd trade away quite a few players ahead of him including Nylander. Bracco's not going to get you back as much as his potential worth at this stage.

I, for one, welcome Marner junior as the assist leader in the AHL.

Not saying Bracco is Nylander or Kapanen, but if one of them are traded for D, having Bracco becomes much more important.

He's also a really good friend of both Marner and Matthews.
The Marners and Braccos are really close families, they know eatch other since they can skate, and Matty also played a lot with Bracco in the US National teams.

If the management values Marleau's relationship with Matthews and Marner so much, I hope Dubas will do the same with this kid, only this one is about a 5M less investment for the team. This kid will be good, and will fit this core nicely in the future.

Here is what Keefe about Bracco after the last game.
"He just looks very comfortable, and he is a player with the type of skills that he has, he needs to be comfortable. I dont know if he ever got to that point last season, but we expected him to be able to comtribute significantly this year, in fact I think it might have been last year while we were celebrating the Calder Cup on the ice, when I congratulated him and kind of said, this is going to be your team next year in terms of the offense, he looked at me a little sideways cause its quite a jump from going from being a scratch in the playoffs to doing what he is doing, but thats what we felt about his abilities, and he has taken advantage of the opportunities that he is gotten and he is rolling"

That can get you $7M AAV if you have a good agent.

The skill set has to fit the team, does this Leafs group need a Braccos skill set, not really, but they do need a Moore, Grondstrum, Korshcov, Brooks, Marchments, type of skill set.

I see what you did there.
Though JvR could have been one of the best wingers in the game today, he just didn't really care about improving his game. It's a shame really, he had all the tools, everything.

He will be the player that sticks after one of Johnsson or Kapenen or traded. Clearly cant keep both under the cap next year.

    PP

    Jt Marner Matthew's Bracco Rielly

Long shot as itll probably take him awhile to adjust. His first yr in AHL it took it most of the yr, figured it out and proving it this season

you think Babcock is going to replace hard working 2-way wingers like a Johnsson or Kapanen with Bracco, I would be shocked if that were to happen.

Bracco is a rare breed that he probably succeeds in a top 6 role or else likely fail. Having said that, I hope the Marlies would actually try to deploy Bracco to play pk- it's a development league after all, but they also need a reliable goal tending..

Every team has Bracco's now, There is so much talent out there. But thankfully, we have Jeremy, nice problem to have on our hands. I think he could play in the NHl right now and e .7 ppg.

If a team is willing to give up a top 4 defenseman or a top 6 forward or something of that value for Bracco as the principal piece going back, I'd be willing to do that. His development is as much about building his value up as a trade chip as much as it is about getting a future roster player.

If Jeremy bracco is going in a deal without us getting to see how good of a player he can be at the nhl level then it needs to be as a center peice of a top pairing defender type deal

Pietrangelo for Zaitsev, brown, Bracco, 2019 1st, 2020 1st(turns to a 2nd if pie walks)

You also have to factor in that they also have their number 1 goalie, 1 defenceman and third line centre locked up as well to pretty good contracts. It helps balance out. It’s a tricky spot but they will figure it out.

I'd like to see him with Matthews tbh, Nylander might be on the way out if Bracco can produce with Matthews in similar fashion to Kapanen.

    Thank you sir.

    - Kucherov had 100 points last year.
    - He's currently on pace for 133 points.
    - He's already got 17 more points than Marner.

And he just pre-signed a $9,500,000 x 8 year extension after taking a bridge deal.

I don't see Marner getting that much .... definitely not millions more.

Well, he’s may notget the option to choose. He can’t block the GM from moving one of them in a trade.

Dubas has already let some of Babcocks guys leave the team.
