4, 44, makes no difference to me. It's interesting because 4 actually has had some very notable Avs defenders wear it. Rob Blake, John-Michael Liles, and Tyson Barrie. Uwe Krupp was the first to wear it for the Avalanche.

I'd like for Byram to create his own legacy with his own number, that would be cool. Not to say it'll affect me any differently if he takes 4, but #44 would be a pretty cool Avs jersey.

I wanted Makar to take 7 when he was choosing, but oh well, 8 looks good now.

Yeah I'd be happy if they end the constant recycling of #4. It's time for a little more individuality with this new era Avalanche team.

#44 suits Byram well and it will likely be available next year.

Was it Dater who said Byram wasn't going to be an option for camp? It almost has to be, given his need to be wrong about everything.
To be fair up until last week Byram himself said he didn't hear from the Avs yet.
