His skates are off the ground and he is leaning forward. The punch got him in the cheek and his bad fighting position is why he fell. Not much damage really.

The only reason Boulton is in the league is to fight. Murray is a very good hockey player. The ''thug'' in this case took a huge run, a charge even, at a Shark player. Because SJ doesn't have a thug of their own Murray had to step up and fight for his teammate. I don't even know why Boulton is dressed for this game.

Murray is REAL lucky. If you look at the part of Boulton's fist that hit him it was the part that could do the least amount of damage. If he hit him with the knuckle portion of his fist I think Murray may still be asleep.
