Maybe PK should have picked up some tips from Francis on how to be a stand up team player that fights like a bulldog to the end. Have Respect for your teammates, coaches and managers. Maybe he'd still be a Hab. 14 yrs in the NHL, he did something right.

You mean knowing Therrien?

It's funny how Radulov and Weber are the ones who straight up abandoned their teams by leaving to Russia and Signing a qualifying offer yet almost everyone is talking about PK Subbans "Character" issues. Character issues that apparently only Tony Marinaro could tell us about..

I will never have a problem with a guy leaving a team for money.

They have worked all their lives and beaten long odds to get to the NHL and get big a pay day for themselves and their families. It's wrong to expect a guy to turn down money for "loyalty" to a club owned by people who are much wealthier than he is, and who would turn around and dump said player if it helped improve the team.

So yes it's completely different scenarios guys leaving for money vs. PK if he was causing personal drama in the room.

Except in Radulov's case he still had a contract with Nashville and he broke it which is what many people didn't like.

Did you miss this part of his quote:''The bottom line is, you win with guys like P.K.''

They didn't last year ;)

Of course it wasn't PK's fault but he was part of a team the failed to live up to expectations so he has to shoulder some of the responsibility for the failures as well as some of the credit for the successes.

Tons of players before PK are responsible for last year's wonderful season. It's tough to read so many comments about PK's leadership and attitude towards last year when there are specific people on the team who not only failed in the leadership category they are specifically in charge of, but other areas of their game as well. Specifically the ghost with the C on his shirt. At least PK kept trying.

Ehh, it was a different time, much more wild west between NHL-KHL, he was simply acting in his best financial interests within the rules of operation then in place. Still can't blame a player for going to get paid, he doesn't owe anything to rich owners.

Now there's more of a convention to respect contracts and this doesn't happen anymore.

Gotta think Frankie will end up getting a official job with the team soon. He was at development camp I believe and shows up at a lot of events for the team
