Not sure if it was a semi-common style of the time or if there was any connection at all between the bizarre looking tiger logo (and maybe even sweaters?) of the Boston Tigers of the Can-Am league and the Calgary Tigers of the NWHL.

On a side note: is that supposed to be a puck on the side of the tiger's face - if not, what is it supposed to be?
