I’ll be going to this battle of the network stars. An ineffective Marchand would be so nice tonight. As well as a win. In that order

Oh yea, and no Sabres injuries.

You just say that because it’s against the board rules to wish for someone on the ltir, right?

I feel like our success will hinge on the effectiveness of the 3rd line and 3rd pairing. If the 3rd line can generate offense and take some attention away from the first two we'll be in good shape. If the 3rd pairing isn't a tire fire, we'll be in good shape.

Let’s just start out with goaltending ... if that’s average to good ... we’ll be in very good shape. It would be so nice to get and stay below a 2.2 GAA. Significantly lower would be sweet!

I'm not sure what to expect. Boston got destroyed in every facet of the game last night after flying back from China. Maybe the rust has worn off and they're pissed or they're even more drained. Hopefully our guys will dictate the play regardless.

I'm a little nervous that a very good Boston team that got beat down yesterday comes in and quiets what should be a rejuvenated crowd.

4-1 Bruins.

Ever since I started University, I've watched opening night during morning class, and watched a loss. Maybe a change of routine should do some good.

Sabres have yet to show they can consistently break through well structured teams. Boston looked aged yesterday, but they have a coaching staff and enough talent and firepower to follow up with a good game. Buffalo will come out swinging with excitement and energy.

I think Boston takes this one 5-4. Buffalo with 3 goals in the 1st period but then fall down as they have yet to learn how to close out games well.

Buffalo statistics
Eichel 2 goals 1 assist
Skinner 1 goal 1 assist
E-Rod 1 Goal
Reinhart 3 assists
Dahlin 2 assists
Okposo 1 Assist
