Forbort has been far better than Reilly ever was. He's a solid shutdown D,

I don't disagree.

But he was many nights our worse defenseman.

Him as a bottom pair guy under 2 would have been a good contract. That said, I'd say if the Bruins could have traded Forbort for any sort of value, he would have been moved. Meaning I don't think most teams think he's worth 3M.

Doesnt surprise me that this deal wasnt worth.

He just wasnt very good.

His problem is teams figured him out, but that was before Boston ever signed him. That was the strange part.

He basically has one move to relieve pressure, and one move in puck retrieval. When the guy does the same thing over and over, players catch-on real quick during a game. Then he starts making unforced mistakes...
