What is the standard protocol for playing forwards off their primary positions?

Mostly asking because LW is historically thin and especially so in this draft.

Personally, when I vote for these drafts, I give a little edge to teams who draft guys in their legit position and I try to draft that way as well.

@Wyatt Earp since I copied your post as the OP, you should have full edit abilities on the thread. Let me know if there are any issues.

Wingers shouldn't play center. If you play a center at their correct handedness wing position they shouldn't be penalized. If you play a center at their wrong handedness wing position they should be penalized.
Your take on centres being shifted to the wing makes no sense given how many wingers play on their "wrong handedness" wing position.

Almost every single Russian winger plays their off wing. Patrick Kane. Mikko Rantanen. Larmer. Bellows. Hossa. Bondra. Recchi. Jagr. Maurice "Rocket" Richard.

So if I'm taking, say, Kent Nilsson who played centre but did so much damage coming off of the right wall, I'm damn well putting that left-handed man on the right wing.

I'm taking it as just put some thought and effort into positioning, don't just draft the 12 best forwards you can and throw positioning to the wind

With only 8 teams picking, we're either going to all have to play some centers at wing, or collectively choose to leave out obviously superior centers of the draft entirely in favor of more positionally "correct" yet worse overall wingers

Historically a vast majority of the best NHL forwards ever played center

Can we change any picks?

My Ekblad pick was a bit of panic/laziness and I'd rather go with someone else

NBD if not, just the #6 Dman

You must create and keep your roster post updated during the draft to qualify for the playoffs. The CO Rockies chose to skip the playoffs.

The playoffs are 7 game series played on neutral ice settled by anonymous polls.

The matchups are the MN North Stars vs the Houston Aeroes.

The Kelowna Rockets vs the Boston Bruins.

The Montreal Canadiens vs the Atlanta Flames.

The St John's Maple Leafs win in a forfeit. I will set up the threads now.

After the first 100 picks, the clock is eight hours.

Kent was told to make his final selection after having been skipped.

By assigning Rantanen to Kent, Wyatt contradicted himself.

Were Wyatt to have obeyed his own ruleset and not contradicted himself, Talus may have had the opportunity to post in the roster thread before Kent made his final selection.

Boo!
