There's no problem with waivers. Once a player has cleared waivers, if/when they are recalled they would have to play 10 games or stay on the NHL roster for 30 days to have to go through waivers again.
30 days from the time of clearing waivers, I think.

folks - above IS accurate

there is no reason for guessing or contradicting

a PDF of the CBA is available on line
http://www.nhl.com/nhl/en/v3/ext/CBA2012/NHL_NHLPA_2013_CBA.pdf

here is the relevant section

13.5 Waiver Expiration.
The rights granted under this Article to Loan a Player(s) who is
otherwise required to clear Regular Waivers to a minor league club expire for any Player(s) who, after clearing Regular Waivers:
(i) is not Loaned to a minor league club, or is Recalled from a minor league
club (except on emergency Recall) and remains on an NHL roster for thirty (30) days (cumulative) or plays ten (10) NHL Games (cumulative),
or
(ii) is Recalled from a minor league club on emergency Recall and plays in
ten (10) NHL Games (cumulative) while on emergency Recall. For
purposes of clarity, games played while on regular Recall shall not count
towards the ten (10) NHL Games in this subsection (ii).

so Hrivik, Jensen, Bodie, Fontaine, Brown, Glass, Summers, can come up, and go down, without issue until he plays 10 games or stays 30 days

I didn't think he looked all that bad, it was an adjustment, considering there hasn't been much time between his last game at Michigan and his first NHL game when you think about it in the grand scheme of things and the schedule that he's had for this week.

I'm not gonna give him kid gloves, but why are people trashing this kid? Makes zero sense.
