With the way Bolland is playing does anyone actually see him taking less than bozak/clarkson?He could be looking at 5 mil a year if he keeps this play up, can leafs afford him?

He's going to be pricey. Bozak finished on pace for 50points and he got 4.2mil, if Bolland finishes with anything above 60points he's looking for 5mil

If he wants to stay here, like I think he does, look for him to take about the same he's making.

At first I was kinda upset that Grabo was bought out, but Bolland is really making it al lot easier to forget him. This guy is a stud. Resign him please!

He's easily earning 4M x 5 years if he continues this play. I think I would do it if I knew he could stay healthy, for him the way he plays at his size is the challenge.

I recall Hawks fans telling me he was done, his best years were over, and he was non factor winning the cup despite having a strong series against Boston.

Not.

On a line with JVR and Kessel, 70 points may be possible. He seems to be breaking out, and honestly, I'd resign him. He may end up being our Andy McDonald.

We will eventually need to make room for Gauthier. It'll be interesting to see what Nonis is going to be doing.

Lets hope that he wants to stay in Toronto.

He is a huge asset in all situations for us out there.

4M x 4 years would be great.

Honestly if we can get him signed for from 4-4.2 over 4 years or so. and sign kadri for around 5 I would be extremely happy.

He wants to stay here but I can say for a actual fact he'll be looking asking for 5.5 between and 6 with a good season, whether he'll get that is certainly debatable. If he were to stay here the Leafs would obviously have talked him down a bit but 5.5 or just slightly more would be the starting point of the negotiations. Him taking 3.5 again would be a pipe dream unless something drastic changes.

If we're signing Bolland then I'm not sure if we can keep Phaneuf (unless his cap is the same or less than it is right now). They could reasonably pickup the difference with Kulemin walking away (something I do not want), and use our elc kids to replace him and Raymond. Be

3.8x5 he'll come back down to earth and finish with something like 20-20 season. Takes a hometown discount from market value and settles for 3.8

Honestly... I see him giving a hometown discount. I'm sure he LOVES being close to home AND we're only 12 games into the season...

He'll end up signing for 3.5-4.5 per.

We'll see Phaneuf getting a $500k cap raise. A $7.0 million dollar cap isn't going to cripple us and likely we'll see some others moved. It's pretty clear that Nonis wants him resigned.

depends how he plays the rest of the season really, could get injured or could drop his play.

but he'll likely get at least 4m in the next contract.

He's a key piece though, you need a guy like him to win cups, great centre that can bump to be a top 6 but very defensively responsible and capable of closing out games.

Him and Mcclement make a great bottom 2 centres for this team.

Bozak on the other hand is a weak link on our top 6, he screams average, which is fine, but he's definitely upgradeable and in the off-season or next season's trade deadline I would hope we go for that upgrade unless we somehow win the cup with him this year.

I've never thought of Bolland getting 60. I'd be ecstatic with 40 and his solid play.
