Good for everyone. Health wise for him, and literally every hockey reason for us. 11 years in the nhl as a face puncher is more than any of us will do.

May he find happiness in retirement. Hopefully his fighting career didn't leave any lasting impact on his health and well-being.

He seemed like a good guy, so I wish him well - in his 2nd career path, whichever opens up for him, and most importantly in terms of health, as others have said.

It’s funny, I often criticized him during the season, but when Playoff time came around (those odd times Randy put him in) he did play really well. Wish him all the best

Boll was a very useful player for Columbus for a number of years. Good job on carving out an NHL career.

I won’t hold it against him that Murray decided to sign him when it was clear he couldn’t no longer play.

Dang I was hoping they'd keep Boll for the AHL so they could sign a Center named Fuching & a winger named Schitt from Austria & put together the Fuching-Boll-Schitt 4th line in San Diego.
