Good for everyone. Health wise for him, and literally every hockey reason for us. 11 years in the nhl as a face puncher is more than any of us will do.
Hopefully he can live a healthy life from this point on. 11 seasons of fighting is a lot, and that doesn't include all the fighting he had to do in the minors in the first place.
He seemed like a good guy, so I wish him well - in his 2nd career path, whichever opens up for him, and most importantly in terms of health, as others have said.
It’s funny, I often criticized him during the season, but when Playoff time came around (those odd times Randy put him in) he did play really well. Wish him all the best
Dang I was hoping they'd keep Boll for the AHL so they could sign a Center named Fuching & a winger named Schitt from Austria & put together the Fuching-Boll-Schitt 4th line in San Diego.
