Both Cholowski and Hronek play 40+ games each, neither really breaks out but plays solid and actually makes our defense slightly more interesting to watch.

The really bold one; Rasmussen wins the Calder.

30-goal scorers usually happen in good/great teams. Don't see us being that.
But if he plays with a playmaker like Larkin this season and is in front of the net for PP1 and of course stays healthy I don't think it will matter if we are lower in the standings or not.

Zetterberg and Kronwall lead this team to the playoffs. The young kids are inspired by their leadership and they retire after a skate with the Stanley Cup.

40g is out of this world for Mantha. 80 pts for Larkin is VERY bold.

If Larkin played on a good team with good wingers he’d be a consistent 75P player. He’s already a borderline 70P player as it is if luck was on his side.

I think very highly of Mantha. I think him dropping (like Zadina) will eventually bite teams in the buttocks. I believe Mantha if not next year obviously, hence the thread, will reach 40G in his career.

That’s speculation. I hope Mantha will get 50+ but 30-35 is most realistic.

I don’t think it’s speculation at all. I edited my previous post due to typos but I re-typed my thoughts.

He could’ve had 70P last season if luck played out differently
Also, how can you ‘realistically’ say 35G is a doable, but not 40G? Makes no sense.

You basically expect Mantha to DOUBLE his goals from last year. And Larkin to score 17+ more points. He hasn’t shown he is a PPG player.

Yes, eventually.

And with some more experience, he will be.

Now, I am done.

Edit: You might want to do some math; Mantha wouldn’t have to double his output. Nice hyperbole from you. As per usual.

Mantha is over rated. His lack of work ethics will prevent him from becoming truly elite. Rasmussen will quickly displace him in the line up.

Okay I'll make a bold prediction.

By the end of the season, the board's consensus opinion will be "I was Holland hater but he proved me wrong by putting the team on a great upward path."

I hope you’re right my biggest fear is we are a fringe playoff team and he goes back to his old ways at the deadline mortgaging the future to sneak into the playoffs.

Here are my revised predictions.

We win 15 games.

Larkin only scores 35P.

Mantha scores 10G

Zadina and Rasmussen don’t play a single game. Holland trades for an average centerman for a package that outraged half of the board. Leading to a Jarnkrok 2.0.

Blashill is fired by mid season.

Choloski gets called up half way through the season after Daley is traded. Becomes the scapegoat and proves that Holland was wrong for drafting him.

We pick 1OA and it’s not Hughes.

Speculation starts to swirl that the ownership is genuinely displeased with the way the team is heading - contemplating selling.

U.P.
Blashill finds success with a line combination of Larkin, Nyquist and Zadina. Zadina ends up with 32 goals and a Calder. Kronwall decides 20 games into the season to join Zetterberg in retirement.
AA scores a hat trick and is scratched the following game for defensive lapses, and promptly requests a trade. Ending his time in the D.

- Svech leads all rookies in scoring

-Kronner plays less than 20 games

- Hronek, Sulak, Cholo and Saarijarvi all play over 20 games with the big club

- Holland moves a contract that no one reasonably thought could be moved

-Wings draft 3rd OA

Chris Ilitch finally remembers he owns a team and fires Holland.
Locks his mom in the casino.
Hunter becomes a GM.
Wings rebuild quickly and win the Cup in 2021

I hope this is a joke? All these numbers seem way off to me!

Hope Svechnikov gets to remain full-time have high hopes for him. Saarijarvi playing over 20 games means we will have major injuries on our blue line IMO. Love the last Holland point that would be great. Something like DD moves at deadline Daley, Helm or Nielsen with No salary retained would having me giving him GM of the year!
