depends on the team needs. Wanna win now? having Boedker is probably better. Gonna suck for a few years / need to start stacking up prospects? take the gamble with the picks.

because i thought he was extremely underrated. i thought the people that said "he's a cap dump" were being too harsh on him

This is great. Boedker is just another example of NHL fans massively overrating anyone on obscure teams lol. Anybody on Florida, Arizona or Carolina is treated as this underrated hidden gem. Horton, Weiss, Booth, Bouwmeester, Korpikoski, Stone, Yandle, Hanzal (and OEL, Ekblad, Slavin, Pesce, Aho to some degree I am expecting now) all got treated as underrated on the obscure teams and then did not live up to exceptions when given more exposure. Boedker was seen as underrated when in Arizona, then did not much in Colorado and became very overpaid in SJ
