I know the Flyers have Carter Hart but what would Flyer fans give up to finally have a number one goalie?

Not enough to entice the Blue jackets to trade him to us.

    nah ez pass.

Wouldn't trade the assets to get him nor would I spend the $9,000,000 in cap space to sign him

doesn't fit in with the teams ideal core age of 20-25.

Agreed, it was pretty comical when the Flyers did it with Bob.

EDIT: I had forgotten that Philly and Columbus weren't in the same division yet.

He isn't nearly worth enough to move unless the Jackets are bottom of their division.

Should have stopped as soon as you thought of Carter Hart !

I'd be interested in Bobrovsky as a rental if the Flyers look like a good team and the Jackets don't.

No interest in extending him though.

The net belongs to Hart no later than the start of the 19-20 season.

Yeah; all the laughter came the year after when he won the first one. It's kind of an old joke by now.

Yup. We're super bitter at all the success the Jackets have had with Bob.

We just wish Bob could've led us to the same promised land he led you guys :(

Besides, if we were bitter about our dealings with the Blue Jackets and compare times when we got hte better of, we'd be bringing up the time Columbus got absolutely obliterated by giving the Flyers a PPG winger and a draft pick that became a Selke caliber #1 C for 20 games of Jeff Carter, but we're better than that and no sense in bringing up old business.

...I can't help but notice you just brought it up. :)

But yeah, the trade history between our teams is a little... colorful, for all involved.

    And just think:

    No one drafted Bob.
    Philly signed him for free.
No one made a great offer for Bob when Philly looked to trade him.

So every other team that needed a goalie passed on him for the 3rd time. Philly isn't the only one who made a mistake.

Im glad you didn't bring that up, as it might be a little too distressing for some to look at.

They still wouldn’t move Bobrovsky even if they were in last place. Stat wise last season he ranked number 2 best goalie in the league. Posting .932 and 2.04 gOals allowed. Columbus would be stupid to trade him outside of massive massive return.

This thread doesn’t make sense for the Jackets.

It makes sense for neither team. CBus should be doing everything they can to re-sign him.

Truly a model of restraint.

I still maintain that the primary reason Jake took off over there was because y'all also signed his childhood hometown hero to mentor him that first year. It was a brilliant move and I wish we'd thought of it while he was still ours.

Bobrovsky is young and is needed in Columbus. He’s cost controlled as well for now. Imo he’s the backbone for Columbus. And got them In the playoffs in the first place.

That was also before Bob won two vezinas and was regarded as one of the best goalies in the league. But, carry on... oh and as someone replied before, CBJ were in the western conference at the time so..
