Proposal: Bobby Ryan for Milan Lucic

McDavid would make Ryan a Star again.

If he played the role Maroon did for them it'd work perhaps.
Ryan needs an elite playmaker to score goals, he stopped scoring 30+ once he left Getzlaf back when Getz was always a lock for 50+ assists.

Some Sens fans discussed this in the summer, I'd do it. At least if Lucic is done as a scorer he can be a presence on the third or fourth line, and the Sens save a bit of cash.

I do think see why Edmonton does this. Ryan's offensive upside is higher, but his injury history and historically iffy conditioning means they'll have a hard time getting consistent contributions.

and he'd protect some of the young rookies they'll have coming up thru the system in the Ottawa rebuild.
