NB
Stumbled across this on youtube and figured it was thread-worthy somewhere. Apparently Probert, while working with WCW (pro wrestling) was, to put it mildly, not exactly intimidated by Tank Abbott (former UFC fighter).

Some interesting stories about Probert here too. Ric Flair has a tendency to exaggerate, so it's tough to say if some of the numbers he throws around are legit, but, either way, it's a fun listen.

Would've been interesting if they had a real fight. Tank had the weight advantage (6'0 ~260 lbs) but would gas after 2 minutes. Probert (6'3 ~225 lbs) had the reach. Abbott would have the advantage if it went to the ground, so modified rules (keep it standing) would even things out. Not so much a gimmicky freak fight, but the top mma brawler and the top NHL brawler going at it, what fun it might've been! Post fight they probably drink some beers and laugh about it.

Get real. Abbott, as garbage as he is compared to the UFC fighters of today, would knock Probert out within 30 seconds without skates on.
