Man I hope they give him a Montreal, Toronto game on a Saturday.

All the announcers these days as monotone AF, there is no passion. Not the case with Bob Cole!
Bob Cole has a genuine enthusiasm for what he's done so well all these years. And that I appreciate.

Some of today's PBP do speak in a monotone.

The one's I dislike most now are the ones who try and compensate for being boring by screaming, and shrieking, or use non hockey terms to try and sound unique. They come across as complete phonies, and are annoying.

We know who the latter group of guys are.

They had one. Chris Cuthbert. Then they laid him off.

But hey, now they have that constipated android, Jim Hughson
My thoughts exactly!!! I could listen to Cuthbert call games all day but when I hear Hughson I want to plug peanut butter in my ears!!!!!

He has a great voice and is an icon. My gripe with him is that he butchers players names, mixes up players and is often slow to call the play and basically senile. He is a bit of a Habs and Leafs homer as well except when they play each other

Its time to go but i also thought he should have retired years ago

Rumor has it Bob forgot it was supposed to be 10 games only.

Jokes aside, it sucks he has to retire, but sometimes age catches up with people and sometimes they aren't ready to admit it.
