Kostin takes the #4 spot. I'm thinking Bokk will snag #5, keeping with "The Big Four" together. So I guess that means he's Ringo now, for better or for worse.

Blues Prospect List:
1) Robert Thomas (92.1%)
2) Jordan Kyrou (87.4%)
3) Ville Husso (56.4%)
4) Klim Kostin (52.0%)

I think Bokk will be No.1 on this list next year. That is partially because I expect at least 2 of our top 3 to graduate, but also just because I think he becomes the next "How did we scoop this guy in the 20's exactly?" pick after Fabbri and Thomas.

Very close between Blais and Bokk for me. Went Bokk simply for the upside factor. I think he's replaced Thompson as the 4th in the "Big 4." (Forwards that is.)

Somehow our big 5 looks even better without Thompson, lol. I think Bokk's ceiling is higher.

I actually went with Schmaltz. I think he'll play this year in the top 6 and for around half of the teams might be playing in the top 4. He's just buried behind Petro and CP on the depth chart.

I went Schmaltz here. He’s closest to NHL ready of the remaining options and I think has solid middle pair potential.

Schmaltz for second poll in a row, but my list is vastly different so far. Unsurprising to see the way it’s played out so far, and my original list had looked very similar to what we have so far. However when I broke it down by placing numerical values on the major categories I consider important in a prospect and compared it across our prospect pool Schmaltz given his top 4 upside and NHL readiness, which also makes him likely to be an NHL player and meet his floor, gives him a larger score than our prospects like Kostin and Bokk whom I see as at least another season+ away from contributing.

@The Note in MI excuse me, but can you give some details behind those numbers?
Arbitrarily chosen based off my own estimations then adjusted for how much I value them.

For example Thomas: I consider his ceiling a 1B Center. So he gets 95 pts. I consider ceiling 50% of my rankings so he gets 47.5pts. He has a 90% chance of reaching his middle expectation as an NHL player IMO. So he gets 9 points as I consider that 10% of the equation. His floor for me is around a 2/3C which i arbitrarily placed at 80 and that’s 20% of my equation as I think floor is important. So he gets 16 pts. He is NHL ready basically as of this moment but I didn’t feel comfortable committing 100% so I did 95 which I hold at 20% which’s 19pts for a total of 91.5

I did, too. I think he's poised for a breakout, if you can call steady, Top 4 level performance a "breakout". I'm just not sure he's ever going to get the opportunity here.

Little surprised no love yet for Foley

The upside isn't there.

He sounds like a decent bet to be a bottom six forward with 30-35 point potential. However, reports on his offensive potential are mixed.

Meanwhile guys like Kostin and Bokk have potential to be upwards of 45-50+ points. Kostin has better size than Foley and more skill. Bokk has a lot more skill. The early reports on Bokk suggest great things offensively. At age 18, you love to hear that. He can sharpen the other aspects of his game over time.

I do think we have a solid NHL player in Foley, though.

at this rate Schmaltz looks to be a #5/6 future-journeyman defenseman. how much value is there in that? Bokk's upside easily trumps that of Schmaltz, because the latter's ceiling isn't much higher than his floor unless he comes in guns blazing, looking to kick ass and take somebody's NHL job.

Not getting the love for Schmaltz. He is borderline bottom pairing defenseman who will be 25 by opening day (he's only a few months younger than CP and JE!). Guys like that are dime-a-dozen.

I would question Schmaltz being a 5/6 the way I would question Malkin being a 2C. Is it situational because of who is in front of him or is that really all he can be? Personally, I still think he has the tools to be a 3/4 if given the opportunity.

Definitely Bokk here as I had him above Kostin in the last poll.

Then it’s either Walman or Foley for me.

Schmaltz and Blais are “closer” but they keep getting passed up by others and I think there’s a good shot both stay tweener AAAA type players. I definitely value others ahead of them at this point.

I like Schmaltz, but he is definitely blocked here. I think his greatest strength might be the power play, but he isnt going to get an opportunity here with Petro, Dunn and probably Parayko ahead of him for ice time on it (not to mention 9 or so forwards under contract who have or should get regular PP TOI). I do also have some concerns about if he can stay healthy, he is small and seemed to take a lot of hits in the few games he has played in STL.

Bokk's upside puts him above everyone. I don't see Blais having a future with the Blues. He really needs to play the game faster if he wants to make it.
