The Blues are currently in discussions regarding a few trades that would see the team shed salary - we are projected to be a tad over the cap at this point. No one is above being traded, but a few prime candidates:
Zach Parise. Pricey, but a 75OV winger with 86SC and various other elite 1st liner attributes. Perfect if you have an elite dishman at center. Has found his new groove with the Wild after a lull a few years back. $7.5M per year.
Mikko Koskinen. As the 11th overall ranked goalie in the league with a more than reasonable contract at $4.5M per year, he is a premium piece only available for quality youth or picks.
Ian Cole. 73OV defender that is 92DF and 78CK. Perfect compliment to elite offensive d-man, and a cornerstone for your PK. $4.25M per year.
Loui Eriksson - well passed his prime, but 81DF who can play both wings, while still having ok scoring ratings. Great for a 3rd line plus intangibles. Only $1.9M per year.
Johan Larsson - Swedish army knife of a bottom 6 forward with elite FO, DF and many other aspects to his game. Perfect to lead a checking line PK unit as a complimentary utility forward. 69OV with 84 DF and 80FO. Can play every forward position. $1.6M per year.
