Terribly sad about Foley. He had quite a bit of promise. One freak incident derailed his whole career. Hope he’s at least living a reasonably comfortable life and isn’t tormented by symptoms all the time.

I don't think Tampa Bay can fit Tarasenko under the cap. And its going to take more than their first for us to retain enough.

Regarding Traverse City, the Post Dispatch today said that the tournament is ON. Only five teams will participate, including the Blues. Not many details yet.

Why wouldn't they attend? Usually only the NCAA guys aren't there, so no Kessel, Peterson or Beck.

I have been going pretty regularly since 2003. It is a great event and lots of fun.

That’s awesome to hear. Now that I’ve relocated to Ohio, should be just a short drive. Although not as close as Ann Arbor to see Univ. of Michigan. Yost rink is such a cool barn in my book.

Poganski never even had a shot attempt in the games he played for us. He was awful.

Awful? I wouldn’t say that. He was serviceable, but he was in that tweener stage where he’s not good enough offensively to be in the top 6, but not reliable defensively to play tougher bottom 6 minutes. In the games I saw, he looked fine, but he needed to be a bit sheltered. I’d guess the reason why they didn’t retain him is because of his age and production in the A.

Yeah, didn't play the necesarry 25 games to stay a RFA (like Reinke). O well, he was a decent AHL/NHL-tweener, but we have more of those.

I view him as MacMac 2.0 energy 4th liner who grinds and has physical side. I like him. He never got real chance in Blues.
