Hey computer nerds!!!

I just bought a brand new iMac and videos on NHL.com are not playing. Long-time Mac user.

Adobe Flash is no longer a thing, so what is NHL.com using? ffs

Is it some Java script? What do I need to do?

It doesn't seem like a permissions issue.

Plays fine on my ancient iPhone 6s. I've been playing NHL.com videos on my phone for quite a while, I guess and missed the updates.

Not playing on my laptop either.

Help please!
Have you tried turning it off and turning it back on? Sorry, that's all I've got.

Boooooo

I’ll try that. Gosh. Amazing how long I haven’t even fired up my laptop to look at NHL.com vids.

Something changed on Jan 1 that I completely missed.

Kinda cool how my tech needs have dramatically morphed over the years. I’ve increasingly become more reliant on my phone in the last year or so.

Was very much iPad and MacBook reliant for many years and now it’s switched to my phone and iMac.

Need to get a new phone as well. OYVEY! f***

NHL.com videos are notoriously shitty on multiple platforms. I've given up on watching them via my Amazon Tablet.

Have you tried different web browsers? When something doesn’t load, I usually try another one.

Oh duh! I always default to Firefox. To me that’s the cleanest, easiest browser out there. Prolly works in Safari. Hate Safari. And Chrome is clunky as f***. Thanks

Got an email yesterday asking me to apply to interview for an engineering position at Barstool Sportsbook. Deleted it even faster than the ones I get from Facebook.

ESPN highlights on my phone are terrible for some reason. The ad will be crystal clear then the highlight video is too grainy to even tell what teams are playing. I have a cheap android (moto g7), but this is something I only experience with ESPN videos.

The whole front end of the aircraft carrier I was on heard this whenever I returned to the ship after a night abroad.

I would open the doors to my maintenance shop with auditorium speakers and play this:

I was filling in for my manager this week.

The excuses I heard not to work a 12.5 hr shift:

I just got an allergic reaction right before work.

My dog has diarrhea. It poohed on my furniture and I have to steam clean it.

My favorite all-time excuse for missing work:

I was the night shift supervisor in an avionics shop in the Navy. A young E-3 female from the south with a huge accent that wanted the rest of the night off.

Her: AT2 can I have the night off?
Me: Why?
Her: Because I got my puzzy soldered today.
Me: Even if that's not true, yes, you can go.
Her: No it's true.
Me: No one can ever beat that excuse.
Her: (with her medical service record she got from her car) see?

Dr. Will Hurt just completed his residency. I wished him well on his uphill battle getting patients with a name like that. He wasn't nearly as amused as I was so I can only deduce his name also damaged his sense of humor. Or maybe he wasn't born with one, idk.

As a previous IT2, I'm pretty sure I'd look at her, rub my eyes, and just point at the door, and say go home. All while thinking "I really don't get paid enough for this."
