At this point it would inexcusable not to put your 12 best healthy forwards and 6 best healthy defensemen in the game tomorrow night. We need these 2 points in the worst possible way. This means that JBo would have to sit in favor of Schmaltz, because JBo is undisputedly the 7th best out of the 7 healthy bodies we have right now on D. If he plays tomorrow night, Yeo should be fired immediately after the game, even if we win 8-0 and JBo has 4 points.

Those are some pretty drastically shaken up lines.

Suggests perhaps a couple things to me.

1. Maybe Schenn’s injury is worse than missing a game or two. If it’s a minor injury or a guy is just taking a maintenance day, they’ll typically just keep lines the same and put a spare guy in the hole of the injured player. Completely jumbled lines perhaps suggest that Schenn could be out a while.

Conversely, it could just be them shaking things up simply because things haven’t been good enough so Yeo is trying new lines. It’s probably more this, but wanted to mention point 1 as that might also be a factor. Hard to say but hopefully Schenn’s injury isn’t too bad. But whether it’s injury or not, he hasn’t looked quite himself so far this season.
