The St. Louis Blues won what might be considered the most heroic win in franchise history this evening when four of their 6 blue-liners were knocked out of the Blues game against the Thrashers.

After Brad Stuart went down in the first period, the parade to the dressing room continued with Chris Pronger, Brendan Witt and finally Zdeno Chara all getting injured before the 2nd period was over, leaving the Blues with only Rusty Klesla and Denis Gauthier on defence for the end of the 2nd and the entire third period.

Despite being short-handed, the Blues held the Thrashers scoreless, thanks to the stellar play of Nikolai Khabibulin.

While Pronger should be able to play in the Blues next game, Chara is out at least week, while Witt and Stuart are questionable and likely will miss at least one game. It is expected veterans Nolan Baumgartner and Curtis Leschyshyn will be called up from Worcester, as well as Thomas Pock.
