Comparing with Football(Soccer) Powerhouses:

Canada = Brazil (Like between 1994 - 2002)

Russia = Argentina (very mood team)

Sweden = Germany (very steadly power)

Finland = Italy (Defence Style)

USA = England (much noise and big potential. But Results ?)

Czech Rep. = France (Talented but not steadly in recent time)

England is not a top six football/soccer country :laugh:

Otherwise good list.

Also football doesn´t have any clear cut top 6, so many countries that compete.

Canada = Spain (elite players on every position, very good results as of late)

Russia = Brazil (great offense, terrible defense)

USA = Germany (solid results best on best and lots of young star players)

Finland = Italy (not many top stars left, but great team work and defense first)

Sweden = Argentina (always a contender, but a lot of times comes up short with silver)

Czech Republic = Portugal (one ageless world star, the rest is above average, but nothing great)

Slovakia = Netherlands (former top power, now pretty much no star players and no great results)

Denmark = Belgium (a lot of new young stars, but yet to get actual achievements)

Slovenia = Wales(one world star player, and the rest is mediocre)

This is the closest one imo, except Jagr is not in national team anymore. Switzerland - Serbia?

Canada is more like Germany in football, Brazil is not a superpower in my eyes.

Germany's last world cup standings: 1, 3, 3, 2
Germany's last euro cup standings: 3, 3, 2
Total avarage standing: 2,43

Brazil's last world cup standings: 4, 6, 5, 1
Brazil's last copa america standings: 9, 5, 8
Total avarage standing: 5,42

How did you come up with the Canada one? I don't really feel like present day Canada isn't considered a superpower.

You can search the Footbal-Nation from a pool. Not exactly top 6 in Football ;).

Maybe a Pool(Football-Team/search): Brazil,Germany,Argentina,Italy,Spain,Netherlands,England,Belgium,Portugal,France.

Than you can search a suitable Team to match a Hockey-Nation.
