I really wished I hadn’t of read through the last couple pages of the closed thread, that was a tire fire burning as powerful as the sun.....

Babs increased the Nylander’s lines icetime last game, will be curious to see if they continues

Taking a beautiful name like William and shortening it to such a stubby moniker as Bill should be a capital offense. Sorry Warden, but I feel forced to go back and take away 100 likes that I've given you over the years. I hope you can recover and learn from this.

Your name MUST be William

The NHL needs more ol timey names. William, while old, has made a comeback.

The league needs more Bills, Teds, Bobs, and Franks. Hell, if theres a kid named Red in the draft I want him for no other reason then his name. Who was the last Red to play in the league?

Haha no. I wish. If I would get kids, I'd name them William. All of them.

From a purely hockey perspective, the names were definitely better in the past.

No..... Please.... let's not do this again.

What?

Don't tell me your not looking forward to more "comparables" that aren't actually comparable and actual evidence like shot maps being ignored whilst simultaneously calling Nylander a princess are you?

I really wished I hadn’t of read through the last couple pages of the closed thread, that was a tire fire burning as powerful as the sun.....

It's getting worse, if that's possible

As Nylander gets dropped into the **** with bad wingers and is somehow carrying them to parity or better

He deserves a Victoria Cross for that feat alone

It was worse being involved lol.

It's the same stuff to debunk page after page, you prove it's incorrect with evidence and a few pages later it pops up again

It's like bloody ground hogs

I just want to be clear: there are people who genuinely believe Mark ****ing Stone is NOT a top-20 winger?

What in the actual ****
Please provide a published ranking list that has Mark stone ranked under 20. I'll even accept a wonky fantasy list.
I love these takes. Unbelievable. A joke actually

Kadri wouldn't ever play the wing first off. And he will be traded due to his dummy play..2 straight playoffs being a moron. Nylander looks great at center, and this series has 1 goal but his line has been the best 1 a couple games.

I do think Bracco cracks the lineup but can't see him starting that high in the lineup

He looks better at C.
It forces him to pay more attention to the small details and has more responsibility defensively.
Every shift he starts out taking the draw and he's immediately throw into the action and surprisingly he is faster to engage.
I haven't even looked at his FO % but he looks like someone whos really good at winning draws.
Also being at C, gives him more room to utilize his excellent skating ability

This shouldn't really be suprising considering he played there all the way thru his hockey career.

He is 50% at faceoffs only on his strong side in the playoffs. Marleau takes the draws on his strong side and is 62.5%.

It's a incredibly small sample size either way but he looks to have a strong lower base and fast hands which are key to being good at faceoffs.

I'm not sure if you're trying to agree or disagree with him looking better at C.

I say he looks the same. He is a highly skilled player who needs to start driving the net more rather then stay on the outside. It makes it easier to cover his line mates by not driving the net. It does open up the D man for more passes but they are not in great scoring position. His line is playing his opponents even which is fine.

There were not 17 wingers who had a better season than Stone. That’s an absolutely absurd argument.

He’ll be ranked higher on those rankings next year I’d bet.

And again, THIS SEASON, he ranked 4th among ALL forwards (not just wingers) in goals above replacement.

The definitive ranking of the NHL’s top 20 right wingers over three seasons - Sportsnet.ca

He also had the highest GAR among wingers this season. It's not an opinion that he's one of the best players in the NHL; it's a fact.

Lol welcome to my world. His argument earlier today was I'm an idiot because I said Mark Stone was one of (or is) the best wingers in the league like a month or two ago.

You can't argue with stupid and I keep trying to tell myself that, but the same 3 guys know how to get me going.
