Konopka. Smaller guy for a fighter. I'm pretty sure he lead the league in fights one year while never beating anyone up and never getting beat up. He literally just bear hugged people until linesman jumped in. Like every other game.

Tim Horton was never considered a fighter, but his style of play got him into fights, where he used his ridiculously strong bear hug to immobilize opponents.

Bobby Hull considered him the strongest player in the game.

A fight between those 2 would qualify as heavy petting

Laraque wasn't a hugger, Brashear was a big time hugger, he was a good fighter but he'd "force" better fighters into a wrestling match a lot... Only reason Laraque hugged him was Brash making him... Laraque would be very near top10 in my books, consistent top heavyweight for a good decade who could play a bit too
