I've seen a lot of complaining over the years about Chia and Melnyk and while Chia has made some terrible trades and the Lucic contract is horrible, he has on occasion been somewhat competent. Melnyk on the other hand has been a pretty big disaster for a while, but he's somewhat removed. As a fan you don't see him (or Chia for that matter) all too often. This got me thinking, are either of them bigger disgraces than NJ's $6M backup goalie?
Cory Schneider has been nothing short of a flaming pile of dogcrap and is an embarrassment to himself and the league. He has quickly become the worst contract in the league and has been the Devils version of Bernie Madoff since getting traded here. He came in with big promises and a big attitude, so much so that he forced Marty's retirement. Then he proceeded to show returns when we didn't really need them by preventing a total tank and screwing us at having a chance in the McDavid and Matthews lotteries. Now, the team is relevant and Cory is revealed for the fraud he is. Guy can't stop a f***ing beachball and is an utter disgrace. He's more of an embarrassment than the guy at Chipotle who needed 5 tries and 10 minutes to wrap a burrito. That guy at least isn't paid $6M/year.
