I feel like most people paying attention knew that while the 2010 Capitals were offensive juggernauts, they were hardly the most complete team in all areas.
Tampa has been great top to bottom all season. Some of their underlying numbers aren't as good as their box score stats, but for the most part, they've been pretty damn unimpeachable.
So for a team that was stumbling up til the last 2 weeks of the season to just dummy them is much more surprising to me.
Not to mention the only reason the Canadiens won is because of Halak's insane performance. They were dominated in everywhere against the Caps. In Tampa's case, they were the slightly worse team but overall still put up a good performance against the Jackets after game 2.
