BigBen's GM Game v.1.2

NEW RULES
This game will act very similar to one of Dong's games, with a few modifications.
1) There will be a maximum of 15 GM's competing. It will be first come, first serve, but newer GM's will be on a tighter leash.
2) Teams will be randomly assigned. Each GM will be randomly assigned two different NHL teams. You won't get one bad and one good team like last game, you'll get two random teams. After assigned the teams, the GM will be able to choose which one he/she wants to run, and the other team will be place into a dispersal draft.
3) There will be a two round dispersal draft including all players from the 15 unclaimed teams. It will be a snake draft, and the order will be determined from the standings of the 2012-13 NHL season. The draft will happen a couple of days after trading begins.
4) The remaining players from the unclaimed teams will be place in free agency, where there will be a quickfire free agency session ala this game. The

[fieldset="Salary Cap"]
- The salary cap is $85,000,000.
- Use the "Fantasy Calculator" tool on Capgeek to make your roster. It can be found here.
- We are using 2013-14 cap hits.
- Once a team goes over the salary cap, they must post their cap information or some post that says that they are over the cap. From the minutes they post that, they have 24 hours to get under the cap. If they cannot get under in 24 hours, their last trade that made them go over will be vetoed. If the same GM goes over the cap and cannot get back under multiple times, all of their previous trades will be vetoed. If you are caught lying about your cap, you will be instantly fired. If your team is over the cap to start the game, you will not need to immediately get under.
- Use CapGeek to find players salaries as well as NTCs and NMCs.
[fieldset="Waivers"]
- If you'd like to place a player on waivers, post in this thread along with the player's contract information.
- To save time and avoid confusion and complications, waivers will be "first come, first serve". Whoever puts in a claim first will get the player.
- If you claim a player and he puts you over the cap, it will be vetoed and the said player will be put back on the waiver wire.
- Teams will have 24 hours to claim a player off the wire before he clears.
- GMs can only claim 3 players off waivers at a time (for example claiming 6 players at once will not count)
- Once a player is placed on waivers, he cannot be taken out until he clears. Once he clears, you may send him through re-entry waivers if you wish, but keep in mind if someone puts in a claim you will have to pay half of the player's salary and cap hit.
- If a player clears his cap hit will be off your cap

- Trades do not need to be sent into to anyone. just post it up.
- All NTC's have been waived.
- When a deal is deemed too lopsided or one sided the deal will be put on hold. The league will hold a meeting and decide, with the GMs in question, how to work the trade out. The role of the league office is not to make the deal fair, but to make it less one sided.
- You must post a roster full of team info before being allowed to trade. For those that are not able to edit posts, I should be able to figure out a solution to your problem.
- You may not make any trades until you post your roster. Any deals made before will be put on hold and will not be official until your roster is posted.
- Keep in mind that any deal the League thinks is outrageous can and will be vetoed, so don't pull anything stupid.
- If a deal is vetoed, you won't be able to make the exact deal again.
- Trades can be retained up to 50%. None of that "trade tracker" stuff this time.

UFA Agent: BigBenSF- There WILL be UFA this year. Any player that is not selected in the two round dispersal draft will be placed into free agency. The only thing that will matter in negotiations is the AAV, aka how much money you are planning on paying the player. The bidding will go a lot like how previous auction games have gone. If you are unsure on how to bid on a player, check here.
- The 15 teams will be divided up into three days of bidding, with five teams being bid on at a time.
- Every night, three of the best players out of the five teams being bid on (which will be determined by popular vote) will be "auctioned" off. More information will be provided during the start of free agency.
