Jeff Carter and Mike Richards Vs Corey Perry and Ryan Getzlaf Vs Milan Michalek and Steve Bernier

why the comparison: each duo play big roles on their current teams, both will probably make the playoffs. All 4 guys are great talents and improving every game, and all 4 could have major impacts on their teams in the post season

I would prefer Carter and Richards any day of the week there. But let's not overlook Boyes and Bergeron in Boston.

except they aren't in a playoff race.

I've decided we should include Bernier and Michalek after careful deliberation! they too are in the same situation.

Bernier since his callup has 23 points in 28 games ..
but I have to admit that Bernier and Michalek have an advantage -- Marleau !! as their line leader

Well then, how about Spezza and Eaves?

Jason Spezza C:
Age: 22
G: 18
A: 67
Pts: 85
GP: 63

Patrick Eaves RW:
Age: 21
G: 19
A: 7
Pts: 26
GP: 54

They both play considerable roles on their team, and they're in a bit of a playoff race as well. What about Defencemen? Do they count? Ottawa has a pretty good young defenceman who is playing a considerable role on their team as well:

Andej Meszaros D:
Age: 20
G: 8
A: 29
Pts: 37
GP: 77
+/-: +37

Fedoruk > Marleau :sarcasm:

Morrow: I'm limiting this more towards prospect types, and I consider Spezza an established player..

For those following suit of Patrick Bateman and naming prospects on their teams...notice the theme. All 2003 draftees making impacts on their playoff-bound teams (though the Sharks are far from safe).

No just forwards, if it was Dmen Mezsaros would be right there with Phanuef.

The Leafs duo of Steen and Wellwood have out produced those rookie combo's though Bernier has played only half the season

That's exactly why I brought them into this.

They're older and I don't consider them a threat to make the playoffs anyways.
