That was kinda fun actually. Think 2016's depth is slightly better but it's not as much as I thought it would be. But those classes are really amazing, for comparison this is 2013-14 rookie class

Palat - MacKinnon - Johnson
Kreider - Schiefele - Nichushkin
Toffoli - Monahan - Hertl
Jenner - Barkov - Chiasson
Maroon, Bjugstad

Lindholm- Trouba
Krug - Maatta
Rielly - Jones
Gelinas

Jones
Andersen

That 2013-14 team might be better now(dat center depth) because they're much older and in their prime(I tried to order players by their rookie year not right now, which is why Barkov is the 4th C, Maatta ahead of Jones, etc), but I don't think it will take much longer for these past 2 rookie classes to pass them. Their actual rookie years compared to 2016-17 were a stark contrast. 40 points is 4th v. 8th, 30 is 11th v. 18th. 1 60+ points v. 4

edit: Looked at a few others, 2011-12 is a disgusting minefield. It's gross. There are some good players deeper in the class, but wow the top of that class at the time is awful.
