Civilization A.
This civilization is still around and has existed in the universe for over 1,000,000 million years. During this time, they haven't gotten too far in terms of technology as they're barely space capable, mainly thanks to stealing numerous ships from a much more advanced, but less aggressive civilization they shared a planet with at one point.
They are currently on their 3rd planet. They're not overly hostile, but the wrong action could spark a war. They're only the aggressors when searching for a new planet.
Despite all of the wars, the it history is quite extensive and well maintained. They have history on themselves and of other races.
Civilization B
This civilization only existed for 300,000 years 60-75,000 years of their history was forgotten, or never discovered.
They focused greatly on technology and self improvement, this allowed them to quickly go from a hunter gatherer society to a space exploration in less than 100, 000 thousand years of existence.
Within 5,000 years they created stargates and were able to instantaneously transport anywhere in the universe.
200,000 years into their existence they started to develop mental abilities and soon train their mind, where they didn't need to manually do things.
280,000 years into their existence thet were located on many different planets, but almost always in an inhospitable environment.
Main cities where this civilization was located were discovered deserted with fully functional, extremely advanced ships just left.
It is not knowing if they continued their self-improvement and become more than physical form, or if they pushed themselves too much and started to die off, or what may have happened to them, but they no longer exist in the most conventional means.
In short, which civilization is more successful ?
Is life simple to survive, or evolve and by extension, survive ?
