Hockey folklore speaks highly of Kharlamov,he was beofre my time but I voted for him on the basis of what I've heard about him.
Larionov IMO is closer to the "Russian Gretzky" than Makarov,as Makorov was a stocky build who was a shooter more than a passer.
Larionov was a thinking mans player whose smarts took him through a long,succesful NHL career.
Mogilny is the precision package,while Fedorov and Bure both mastered the skating aspect,to the point where they outclassed many players.
I think that Fedorov has to be considered the greatest Russian to play in the NHL,but he is neck and neck with Mogilny. To me, all of the Russian greats epitomize the distinct traits of Russian hockey. I will always hold them in a prestigous semi-surreal light.
What a shame,if the NHL doesn't get to see top Russian talent as often under the new CBA.
