Kucherov is a great playoff performer too.

That's because Malkin is stealing his votes here. I would vote Ovechkin over Kucherov if I didn't vote Malkin

Kucherov is a great playoff performer too.

He is, but I'm not just talking about who's the better playoff performer, though Malkin has a much longer track record there. I still think Malkin's best is better as well as his ability to perform playing with anyone on his line. His injuries and at times inconsistencies over a regular season limit his value there, but I think he's still the best when the game is on the line.

He's more consistant then OV on a year-to-year basis, and he has a longer track record than Kucherov. He's also the most capable of taking over a game all by himself, and he's a proven winner.
