Ovechkin, Malkin, Kucherov. Kucherov is great but isn't at their level yet.

Kuch has Stammer. Malkin has Kessel. Ovi has Backstrom/Kuzy

If we're only talking this season, Backstrom and Kuznetsov really haven't been very good. Whichever one of them plays with Ovechkin gets the points. The other one doesn't.

anytime Malkin has had a solid linemate, he's always surpassed Ovechkin...who's been fortunate to play with all star center like Backstrom most of his career.

Plus Malkin is also better in the playoffs.

Should really add Bobrovsky, Vasilevski, and Tarasenko.

Are we voting based on this year only? Career? Playing the best right now this very second? Can we please explain voting criteria @DominicBoltsFan ?

I still take Malkin.

Kucherov is having a great season but if I have to pick one of the three for my game tonight, I’m taking Malkin. He’s better at his best.

Kucherov has taken the next step and while Ovechkin and Malkin are still playing at their prime levels Kucherov is at his peak and gets my vote.

It should maybe be Kuch based on the last 2 seasons, but if I'm going into the playoffs tomorrow I still take Malkin

Most goals, 2nd best GPG, 2nd most points and highest PPG the last two years combined, the only one of which either of the other two beats him is Malkin in GPG. What more does he need to do?

Malkin has been worse with Kessel than without him this year.

The Malkin who had 12g, 5 assists to close out 10 games in Janaury was centering Hagelin and Hornqvist.

THAT Malkin was the best Russian player I've seen at any point this season.

'Shoot first' mentality. Playing to his strengths as a forechecker and defensively. Not having to do the lion's share of the defensive work.

Honestly, it was like watching Malkin center Fedetenko-Talbot in the playoffs 9 years ago. It was that scary good.
