Look who's last in attendance every season. Plus the Isles had a 10-year start to gain more fans than the Devs, who also have to battle for fans with Philly in South Jersey, not just the Rangers.
What is more important is that our common enemy is the Rangers, the Isles are the older cousins of the Devs. But NYI just has less fans, which is a fact.

The Devs have drawn slightly better (in a far bigger arena) and have had slightly better TV ratings for awhile, but they've also been a far superior team for the last dozen or so years. Switch the success of the teams around and the Isles would undoubtedly have the higher numbers. I think the size of the fanbases are actually very similar...in other words it's a lot smaller than the Rangers. But of course I always believe in quality over quantity. :sarcasm:
